Vakvak - Theatre
Once upon a time, in a faraway land, there was a tree whose every branch bore human and creature heads, making mysterious sounds, smiling, and at times, even speaking. This tree is known in Islamic cosmography as "Vakvak", in Japanese folklore as "Jinmenju", and in Buddhist mythology as "Nariphon", associated variously with wisdom or with apocalyptic signs.
In this theatrical interpretation, the mythical Vakvak Tree becomes more than legend. On stage, two actors confront the tree and its uncanny sound‑world, generating a speculative omen of apocalypse through their interplay.
