milk on carpet gone bad - For Solo Cello, performed by Mina Zakic

Premiere: Preßl Saal, Graz, Austria — 23.06.2025

This piece was inspired by the fragility of remembering and “owning” memories. Remembering feels like a drug to me, sweet while it lasts, but it leaves me with guilt, as if something in those memories quietly changes each time I recall them, without me even noticing. Sometimes, or perhaps more often than sometimes, I find myself blurring the line between my dreams and my memories. This creates both fear and hope: the fear of never truly knowing the boundary between life and imagination, and the hope of infinite possibilities of being.
