BIOGRAPHY

Ada Dinçer (b. 2003) is a composer, performer, and improviser. Her music ranges from chamber and orchestral works to mixed-media and stage-based collaborations, often exploring the expressive potential of games, memory, and sensory experience.
Dinçer’s work deconstructs the traditional divide between seriousness and play, cultivating a sonic world where refinement and rawness coexist. She frequently engages with hybrid forms, integrating acoustic instruments with electronics, and exploring the physicality of sound and space as a dramaturgical force.
She began her musical journey as a flutist, studying with Cem Önertürk at Bilkent Preparatory High School, where she performed widely as both a soloist and chamber musician. She later entered the Composition Department at Bilkent Faculty of Music and Performing Arts, studying with Tolga Yayalar and Onur Türkmen, and subsequently continued her studies with Klaus Lang and Franck Bedrossian at the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz (KUG).
Her works have been performed at major contemporary music platforms and festivals including Mixtur, Klangspuren, and MBZ – Music Biennale Zagreb, as well as in numerous venues across Turkey and Europe. Ensembles and performers such as Schallfeld Ensemble, Eric-Maria Couturier, Bertrand Chavarría-Aldrete, and Krassimir Sterev have featured her music.
In addition to her concert works, Dinçer has contributed as a theatre music composer to several productions presented in Austria, Germany, and various cities in Turkey, expanding her practice into interdisciplinary and collaborative performance contexts.
Alongside her compositional work, she continues to develop solo improvisation and multimedia performance projects, working with voice, electronics, and self-built instruments to explore new forms of expression and performative presence.
